Although i have a degree in Music, a BA (Hons) 1:1, I’ve never done any A levels and it was one thing that has been on my bucket list! When Tim very kindly offered to teach me a i leapt at the chance! So 2022-23 was the start of my journey, AS Music. Its a three component exam, a practical, two compositions and the appraising exam. Its a long process as the practical was taken way back on February! Compositions were submitted in May with the appraising exam the following day, then the wait for results on August 17th.
I am extremely proud, delighted, thrilled and utterly gobsmacked to report the following –
Overall Grade A 192/200
Performing A – 60/60 ( i did this on Clarinet)
Composing A – 57/60
Appraising A – 75/80
And now begins the A level journey! Tim has been teaching me and Coleg Cambria have entered me for the exams etc. The photos below are from the end of term concert Coleg Cambria put on and which i was invited to play for by the Music lead – Tim Heeley who did some fabulous arrangements. It was lovely that his daughter came to play for the final concert too!
